Learning support

At Sacred Heart we believe that all students should be given every opportunity to experience success. Our teachers understand that students learn in different ways and at their own pace.

Our teachers provide learning experiences that meet students' individualised needs, ensuring that every student progresses in their learning.

We have a dedicated and specially trained learning support teacher who collaborates with our team of in-class school officers and classroom teachers.

Our Student Support Committee, which includes the expertise of our Learning Support Teacher, School Counsellor, Principal, Assistant Principal and Curriculum Middle Leader, work in conjunction with classroom teachers to maximise positive learning opportunities for students through regularly reviewed interventions and small group support. Interventions include the targeting of those learners requiring support in reaching the year level standard to those students requiring extension.
